Stephen is a founding Partner of SGA Property Consultancy (2003), SGA Environmental (2006) and SGA Compliance (2014). Stephen has actively been involved with the preparation & negotiation of Dilapidations since working in private practice in London (1998) and leading significant TDD projects. Before that, Stephen’s experience had covered Construction methodology, design, repair, maintenance and management. Stephen has presented specifically on Dilapidations to audiences at the Property Investment Research (PIR) Annual Conference, The Annual Leasing Conference & at the Property Council of Australia (PCA) Property Fundamentals Annual Course.
David’s expertise in Building Pathology, (defect diagnostics) has taken him from a number of leading Sydney based practices to being a founding partner of SGA Property Consultancy with operations across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
David also leads professional development, being active with the RICS, having co-written RICS best practice guides and given many presentations on specialist subjects including Technical due Diligence.
David is sought after by leading Australian and Overseas REIT’s for technical advice as to the property and its implications for purchasing, management and sale.
Bruce was born in Scotland then emigrated with his family to the Isle of Man. Bruce commenced employment in 1989 at the age of 16 with a national UK firm of Structural Engineers while studying part time for a National Diploma in Building Studies. Bruce then worked for the Isle of Man Government department of Architecture & Planning while studying at Liverpool John Moores University to obtain a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in 1997. Following obtaining full Chartered Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2000, Bruce emigrated to Australia in 2001 and commenced working with David Myers, Stephen Allan and Roger Webster at a national consultancy. In 2003 Bruce was a founding employee of SGA Property Consultancy in Sydney then established both the Melbourne and New Zealand offices and became an Equity Director in 2006. Bruce returned to Melbourne in 2007 and has made it his home while successfully running and expanding the Melbourne office.
David has been involved in the construction industry since 1991 and was involved in several significant building projects in London, including the redevelopment of County Hall in Westminster. David moved into the professional side of the construction industry in 1999 and obtained Chartered Building Surveyor status in 2005. David joined SGA in 2007 as Manager of Building Consultancy, Victoria until becoming an Equity Director of SGA in 2011 and establishing the WA office in the same year. David has been a qualified NABERS assessor since October 2009 and a qualified CBD Assessor since July 2011.
David has a wide range of experience in commercial property assessment including Technical Due Diligence, Defect Analysis and Building Pathology, Project Management, Schedule of Dilapidations and Maintenance and Capital Expenditure Forecasting. David has presented to professional audiences on property related issues such as Make Good Assessments, Dispute Trends in Commercial Leasing and Building Resilience (CIBSE Aus/NZ series of seminars).
Roger’s career has moved from Offshore Engineering to Construction Management, Investment Banking, Management Consultancy, Ports & Logistics, IT, Not For Profit, FM, Property Management and Property Consultancy .
Working both in-house and as a consultant, in the private and public sector, from consultant to CEO Roger has gained experience in the UK, Sweden, Japan, USA, Thailand , Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand and PRC.
Most recently Roger has been involved with the continuing development from inception of SGA, re-engineering and growth of a Private Commercial Property Investment and management company, and rebuilding of a digital imaging distributor.
